Pilates mat is a way to stretch and strengthen your body, primarily the muscles of the core, which span from your hips to your shoulders. Pilates mat work is often harder than the work on the machines and initial tightness and muscle imbalance can make it challenging to access your core muscles during a Pilates mat workout. Pilates mat work is best done in compliment with private Pilates sessions. All levels welcome.
