Duo Chains with Deelia & Alicia

Duo Chains

This 90-minute duo workshop is for aerialists who can handle a few bruises and want to challenge themselves with hanging from two loops of chains. We will learn a choreography with graceful poses both upright andinverted together with a partner. The participants can challenge themselves with the speed of the spins and by working on smooth transitions we combine all poses into one seamless dance piece in the air. Come together with a partner or without and get paired up during the workshop.Please wear tight, long clothing, preferably from a thicker material. If available, bring leather gloves. 

Suitable for all levels. Previous Aerial experience is recommended.

(General) Additional information

All workshops can be booked also as private classes.

Before taking part in a workshop or in a private class please eat something and drink water before. Especially when practicing spins the body needs nutrition and hydration beforehand to avoid dizziness and nausea.

In all aerial workshops and private classes please wear tight clothing and prepare accordingly. It is good to have a long sleeve shirt as a backup for protecting the skin in elbow hangs and armpit holds.If you have any questions regarding the workshops or private classes do not hesitate to reach out.



Deelia Jõgi

Deelia is a former Estonian rhythmic gymnast living in Austria. With a degree in performance art and expertise in stage acting, she has been working in theatres on and off stage in Europe. She is currently an artistic director for events and a freelance aerial performer. She has been teaching ever since she was certified by Estonian Olympic Committee 7 years ago.

Her biggest creation on stage has been Tallinn’s Gymnastics Celebration where she choreographed for 1200 participants and was the head creative director for a team of 22 choreographers. She has always been a big fan of circus and that’s how she found her way to aerial arts and teaching aerial in 2020. In 2022 she became an Estonian Talent Show winner with her aerial hoop. She is currently dedicating her career to performing in a circus.

Alicia Nowak

Born in Austria, Alicia is a multidisciplinary artist specializing in handbalance, partner acrobatics, and aerials. She has performed around Europe as part of a hand-to-hand and perch duo, as well as solo on MSC Armonia, at Circus Piccolino, Captial C in Amsterdam, and TV Shows such as Bulgaria’s Got Talent. She stumbled into circus and has trained with internationally renowned teachers such as Sascha Bachmann and Artur Bezkorinnyy in Kyiv, after retiring from Thai boxing in Thailand.

Next to performing she is a freelance visual artist. Her artworks have been exhibited at Parallel Vienna, Flomyca, FOTO WIEN, and a solo show at Art in Ruins.
