Grab this wonderful opportunity, it is Bryan’s only stop in Europe for a Teacher Training in 2020.
In this training you’ll join Bryan for a 40 hour immersion that is dedicated to the philosophy & practice of Power Yoga with a slant toward sharing this practice with others. The training is a personal sharing of Bryan’s style and philosophy of yoga. It is designed to provide an environment where your own unique understanding and perspective of yoga emerges out of direct experience and dialogue and you become confident in sharing it.
What is a 40-hour „Bryan Kest Power Yoga Training & Immersion“?
These 40 hours are dedicated to the philosophy & practice of Power Yoga with a slant toward sharing this practice with others. Most sessions are split between practice and a mixture of discourse, interactive dialogue and question and answer assignments. You will also share this practice by teaching during your time together. Bryan is focused and serious about the subject yet the training and practice is light-hearted.
Will I get a certificate of completion?
Yes, you will receive a certificate of completion from Bryan Kest and Santa Monica Power Yoga. That is, if you attend each class, arrive on time and remain for the duration of all sessions, complete all homework and requirements. However, Bryan wants you to keep in mind that by attending this training you are not buying a certificate. You are buying an experience.
What are the subjects covered in these 5 days?
So many different topics could arise during these interactive, non-dogmatic sessions. Yet there is a certain knowledge he wants you to walk away with. You will know what PowerYoga is, you will learn a complete PowerYoga routine of about forty asanas called ‚Brahma’ and you will practice sharing this routine. You will learn the multi-dynamic possibilities of every asana. You will learn PowerYoga philosophy and history and depending on time, you may learn some Sanskrit. Other topics include working with injuries, personalizing a practice, yoga & business and much more.

Bryan Kest
Bryan Kest has been practicing yoga since 1979 and has been teaching since 1985. He developed his unique, distinctive style of yoga, called Power Yoga, in 1979. Over the years, this style, an amazing workout for the body, mind and spirit, has made him a well-known, popular teacher across the country and around the world. His mainstream popularity is matched by an authentic foundation in the ancient practice of yoga and a long path of development as a yogi (a practitioner of yoga). At age 15, Bryan uprooted from his native Detroit home to make a life change in Hawaii. He moved to live with his father, a doctor, who understood the benefits of yoga. Like many of us, Bryan originally thought yoga was nothing more than strange contortions, but that changed when his father introduced him to a physical style of yoga called Ashtanga. This appealed to him immediately, and he soon observed great changes in himself, both physically and mentally. Yoga quickly became his passion, one that would take him to India for a year to study with one of the greatest yoga masters of the world, Pattabhi Jois. He has been continuing on his yoga path ever since.
