Wir freuen uns, dass Doug demnächst einen kleinen Online Asana-Workshop für uns abhalten wird. Er war letztes Jahr während der Sommerferien in Wien und viele konnten ihn deshalb leider nicht erleben. Da Doug in den USA lebt, steht sein Workshop im September in Wien aufgrund der aktuellen Lage noch in den Sternen. Dieser Workshop hat das Sequencieren zum Thema, dass auch für den Workshop im September geplant ist.

The Music of Sequencing in Yoga: An Asana Workshop In this online workshop/practice experience, Doug returns to Vienna to share with you some creative ideas about sequencing that not only give you some new inspiration, but are also grounded in an understanding of how the body works — and how healthy movement is maintained — through the fascia.

This is a guided practice of asana, with an introduction to the ideas that guide the practice, that will give you a refreshing ‘workshop’ experience of asana practice — finishing with yoga nidra and a short meditation.

The fundamental idea is to understand how being creative in your practice is a bit like music: though the ‘notes’ that are available to you are relatively limited, once you understand their relationships to each other through different scales and chords, there’s a wide possibility for writing new songs.

In this ‘workshop light’ experience, we’ll learn a few scales in the body, and the songs we can sing through the asanas!
