Inhalte des Kurses

Our Monday course is designed for advanced acrobats who already have a good idea of what they want to learn and achieve, work independently on their goals, but can benefit from regular professional help. There will be joint exercises that are primarily aimed at technical basics - but the larger part of the course is intended for you to work in teams on tricks that you bring with you.

The coach Nick Hutchinson is a professional acrobat and strength & conditioning coach with extensive experience in high-level circus performance and coaching environments. He has a background both as a performing artist and artist coach working with Cirque du Soleil and Dragone. Nicks main specialities include hand-to-hand (static and dynamic), high-level banquine, column work, group acrobatics (toss the girl), cradle and duo trapeze with a strong focus on technical efficiency, technique breakdown and safe, evidence-based progressions. Nick has taught at a circus school in Australia for many years following the progression of young artists that are currently touring the world in professional companies. Now residing in Graz, Nick is keen to get to know the circus community here and help out where he can!

Please note: this course is not focused on beginner acrobatics, dance-based acro, choreographic work or any L-Base acrobatics. Coaching is centred on standing partner and group skills, physical preparation, and problem-solving rather than teaching basics from scratch.

Prerequisites: Experienced in advanced partner acrobatics - more or less stable hand2hand, experience with the basics of the techniques you want to improve. We strongly recommend that you coordinate with each other and make sure that you come to the course with people who want to work on the same tricks as you - whether as a duo or in bigger teams/alternating constellations.

Unsere Kurse und Workshops stehen sowohl Mitgliedern als auch Nicht-Mitgliedern offen. Für die Teilnahme ist während der gesamten Kursdauer eine aktive Mitgliedschaft erforderlich:

Mitglieder nutzen ihre bestehende Mitgliedschaft zur Buchung. Bitte stellt sicher, dass eure Mitgliedschaft für die gesamte Dauer des Kurses bzw. Workshops gültig ist.

Nicht-Mitglieder erhalten automatisch eine Kursmitgliedschaft (für die Dauer des gebuchten Kurses) bzw. eine Workshop-Mitgliedschaft (für die Dauer des Workshops). Die Kurs- bzw. Workshop-Mitgliedschaft berechtigt ausschließlich zur Teilnahme am jeweiligen Kurs oder Workshop, nicht an freien Trainings (Jams), und endet automatisch mit dem letzten Kurstag bzw. dem Abschluss des Workshops.
