Stewart Gilchrist (East London School of Yoga) is coming to Vienna to host this 3-day workshop full of learning, teaching, and practicing.

The famous senior teacher from London brings his expertise from over 20000 teaching hours to Austria in order to create a weekend full of deep practice into our studio.

This weekend will include workshops where each session is a sequence that focuses on a different set of asanas and their relative vinyasas.

We will practice:

1. Standing postures
2. Twists
3. Forward Bends
4. Back Bends
5.Inversions

These workshops concentrate on Modern vinyasa yogasana that is accompanied by breath, intention, mantra and an authentic philosophy. They also include meditation and Yoga Nidra. Each workshop comprises of a unique, innovative series of asanas.

They all place emphasis in the four practical aspects of astanga yoga: pranayama, dhyana, mantra and, of course, asana.

The workshop will include the following sessions:

Friday 29.9.: Evening session from 6pm - 8:30 pm

Saturday 30.9.: Practice from 10am - 1pm & Workshop from 2pm - 4pm

Sunday 1.10.: Practice from 10am - 1pm

About

Stewart is known throughout London for his popular,innovative, authentic dynamic classes. He infuses his high energy and challenging teachings with yogic knowledge, as well as his unique charisma, politics and humour. His classes include an emphasis on breath, vinyasa and philosophy with strong physical adjustments. Stewart applies the original teachings of yoga to the modern world to create a thought-provoking class. Having trained in astanga and as a Jivamukti teacher Stewart’s spiritual journey led him to train all over the world with teachers who have had a profound effect on his unique style of teaching.

Education

He has an MA TEADIONS IF YOGA AND MEDITATION and is a PhD candidate at SOAS UNIVERSITY OF LONDON He offers his eternal gratitude to all his teachers: Sabel Thaim, Jennifer Dale, Hamish, David Life, Sharon Gannon, Swami Niramalanda and Shree Sheshadre
