Uddiyana means 'to fly up"

Physically, Uddiyana Bandha involves and strengthens muscles in the diaphragm, ribs and abdomen. Physically and energetically, this practice generates internal heat, improves digestion, purifies the digestive tract and stimulates blood circulation and energy flow throughout the body and brain. Practice of Uddiyana Bandha is linked with Samana Vayu which governs the absorption of energy. Uddiyana Bandha is energizing.

I started yoga when I was twenty years old in California with a marvelous teacher who was 83 at the time. That first teacher revealed how yoga was a choice for how to live and a way of deeply connecting with myself on a level that keeps me balanced, strong, nurtured and always growing. My classes are strong, focused, practical, compassionate and invite all to move inward towards self care and discovery in every stage of the practice.

Ausbildung

Teaching since 2005 and initiated into the Sri Vidya tradition by my teachers Yogarupa Rod Stryker and Pandit Rajmani Tigunait, I continue a lifetime of study, self inquiry, and offering the light of the Himalayan Tradition. I am RYT-500 Parayoga Certified teacher of Yoga and Meditation. Also I am certified in Prana, Tantra, Koshas, Yoga Sutras, and Yoga Nidra with continued study.
