Breathing is the most vital function of the body — and yet it's one we rarely pay attention to. Ancient yogic practices and modern neuroscience offer powerful tools to regulate the breath, calm the nervous system, and sharpen the mind. This 3-part series brings these worlds together, offering practical, science-backed techniques to help you feel calmer, clearer, and more connected — both on and off the mat.

Each 2-hour session explores breath as a bridge between yoga, pranayama, functional breathing, mindfulness, and neuroscience. Sessions can be attended individually or together as a coherent journey from regulation → clarity → integration.

Session 1 – Calm & Regulation (May 8) Discover the foundations of yogic and functional breathing and nervous system regulation. Learn to restore breathing rhythm, calm stress responses, and cultivate a felt sense of safety and stability.

Session 2 – Focus, Energy & Mental Clarity (May 22) Explore how breath influences focus, cognitive performance, and energy levels — and learn to work skillfully with mental pressure and overthinking.

Session 3 – Integration, Relaxation & Daily Life (June 19) Bring it all together. Deepen recovery, emotional regulation, and presence — and discover how to carry these practices into stress, sleep, and the transitions of everyday life.

For me, yoga is about integrating mind, breath, and body – a way of remembering who we truly are in the balance between movement and stillness, effort and ease. My classes combine traditional yoga foundations with mindfulness, breathwork, and reflective journalling to create space for deep presence and integration. At Manas Studio, I teach yin classes combined with pranayama, restorative, and yang yoga classes, building on traditional and formal yoga practices while integrating gentle awareness techniques and breathing methods that support physical, spiritual and emotional well-being. These include mindfulness practices directed toward ourselves and others – cultivating kindness, gratitude, and compassion both on and off the mat As a teacher, my intention is to hold a safe, welcoming space where every student feels supported to explore their own inner teacher and unique journey.
