THE1924 isn't just a name; it's our promise to you. Inspired by 1924, the year the Pilates reformer made its debut, we're all about bringing that original, real-deal Pilates vibe straight to Vienna. But Pilates is so much more than just the reformer. 🚀

Here at THE1924, we’re diving into everything Pilates has to offer. Think of Pilates as a toolbox, and we’ve got all the best tools for you - from the Reformer to the Cadillac, the Wunda Chair to the Ladder Barrel, the Wall Unit and so much more . We use these tools to build a workout that’s just right for you. Whether your goal is to stretch, strengthen, or transform your body, we combine the equipment to suit your needs perfectly.

Choose from private sessions, duet sessions using all of the original Pilates equipment, small group classes (with 5 people max) where we utilize the Wall Unit/Tower, Mat, Magic Circle, Weights and Poles or Mat group classes (with 10 people max). All of our sessions are designed to ensure every participant receives focused, personal and individualized attention. With various modifications, we can train every body – short or tall, injured or healthy, athletic or not.

At THE1924, every BODY is welcome – no matter the size, age, gender, race, or fitness level. Come as you are, and let’s #POWERHOUSE together!

Das beste klassische Pilates Studio, dass es in Wien gibt! Sara achtet sehr auf die Ausführung und unterstützt dich individuell, egal ob Gruppen- oder Privatstunden. Gleichzeitig hat man aber immer Spaß und ich freue mich immer wieder auf die Pilatesstunden :)

I attended wall Pilates class and had a great experience! The small group size allowed for plenty of personalized attention from the instructor, who was both encouraging and highly skilled. Each session felt tailored to my needs, and charged for the rest of the day. Highly recommend!

Sara Hrapovic - Romana's Pilates Instructor (Level 5)

I'm Sara, the founder of The1924 Pilates Studio in Vienna. My journey with Pilates began in my mother’s studio, where I discovered my passion for this transformative practice early on.

In 2018, I moved to New York City, the birthplace of Pilates, to train under renowned instructors like Cynthia Shipley. After completing over 750 hours of intensive training, I became the youngest certified Romana’s Pilates instructor worldwide. I was honored to be tested by Sari Mejia Santo, daughter of Pilates legend Romana Kryzanowska.

Returning to Austria, I moved to Vienna to combine my passion for Pilates with business acumen by pursuing a degree in International Business at WU Vienna, specializing in Entrepreneurship & Innovation. This education empowered me to realize my dream of opening my own studio.

Throughout the years, I have traveled all over the world to work with, train with, and learn from some of the most esteemed classical Pilates instructors. These experiences have enriched my teaching style and deepened my understanding of Pilates.

Now, as the proud owner of The1924, I am excited to offer a space where individuals can experience the authentic Pilates method. My mission is to make the original Pilates Method accessible to everyone, helping you experience its holistic benefits. So come as you are & let's #powerhouse together!

Jolanta Mitraite - Romana's Pilates Instructor (Level 5)

Jolanta is a seasoned Romana's Pilates instructor with a passion for body movement and over a decade of experience. Certified in 2011, Jolanta has dedicated her career to mastering the art of Pilates and helping her clients achieve their fitness goals.

She began her Pilates journey at the "Pilates Center Vienna," where she worked for 12 years. Her pursuit of excellence took her around the globe, studying under renowned Pilates instructors and gaining invaluable insights and techniques.

Jolanta has worked with clients of all ages and fitness levels, including those recovering from injuries or dealing with chronic pain. Her personalized approach ensures that each client receives the attention and care they need to reach their full potential. Committed to continuous learning, Jolanta participates in annual continuing education programs and stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in Pilates. She specializes in helping women over 50 stay fit and healthy, demonstrating that it's never too late to transform your body and improve your well-being.

For your first visit to The1924 Pilates, arrive a few minutes early to complete any necessary paperwork and get acquainted with the studio. Wear comfortable, form-fitting clothing that allows you to move freely. Socks with grip are recommended for your safety. We provide all the equipment you'll need, but feel free to bring your own water bottle. Many people think they need to be flexible or already fit before starting Pilates, but that’s a common misconception. We’re here to help you become fitter, more flexible, and stronger. However, we recommend that complete beginners start with a few private sessions to learn the basics and foundations of Pilates before joining group classes. You might find our Intro to Pilates Offer especially helpful in getting started on the right foot. Most importantly, come with an open mind and be ready to enjoy a personalized Pilates experience. Our friendly instructors will guide you through everything you need to know.
You don’t need to bring your own equipment; we provide all the necessary Pilates apparatus at the studio. However, if you prefer to use your own mat or small accessories, you are welcome to bring them. Our studio also has a shower available for your convenience, but please bring your own towel if you plan to use it.
If you have a booking but are unable to attend, please notify us as soon as possible. You can cancel your session through the Eversports platform. Please note that we have a 24-hour cancellation policy. Sessions canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time will be fully charged and are non-refundable. This policy ensures that we can offer the spot to another client and manage our schedule efficiently.
At The1924 Pilates, we strive to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone. Here are a few additional things to keep in mind: · Arrival Time: Please arrive a few minutes early to ensure you have enough time to get settled and start your session on time. However, please do not arrive more than 15 minutes before your class, as we have ongoing sessions that could be disrupted. · Health and Safety: At The1924, we're all about your health and safety. Please inform your instructor about any injuries, health concerns, or pregnancies before your session begins. This allows our instructors to modify exercises to suit your needs and ensure a safe and effective workout. · Pregnancy: You can do Pilates during pregnancy. Inform your instructor before your session begins so exercises can be safely modified. Please get approval from your doctor before participating. Pilates is also excellent for postpartum recovery, helping you regain strength and flexibility. · Etiquette: Please respect the studio space and your fellow clients by keeping noise to a minimum and cleaning any equipment after you use it. · Inclusivity: We are committed to maintaining an inclusive environment where everyone feels safe and welcome. Racism, sexism, and any other forms of discrimination have no place here. We ask that you show respect to everyone in the studio. Any form of discrimination or disrespect will not be tolerated, and individuals displaying such behavior will be asked to leave. · Validity of Passes: Our 10-class passes are valid for 5 months from the date of the first booking, and 5-class passes are valid for 3 months from the date of the first booking. Single session passes are valid for 1 year from the purchase date. · Class Levels: We offer classes for different levels, from beginners to advanced practitioners. If you're unsure which class is right for you, feel free to ask us for a recommendation. · Students and Seniors: We offer a 10% discount on classes for students and seniors.
